Second Trying: New Size of my Wallet

I've remade my wallet. And this is what i got from my learning:

1. The best size is: 18x19cm (each card pocket will be 9 cm)...play with 19 cm if you want to shorten the folded size...18 cm is ok, too, i think...but for this design, the 9 cm card pocket is just the best...with this size, you can make your own design...may be you want to use zipper for coin pockets? or you want to add other pockets?...just use your imagination to a more challenging creativity...

2. i used stiffer interfacing. It's better to maintain the shape. Don't use over heat-iron/press...sometimes, it's not sticky well on the edges but that's ok...i sew those parts...it took some trials in some projects after i knew at what heat i must set...that's ok...don't give up...practice makes perfect (^.^) ...i sew this wallet design of mine 3 times...and it's worked on the 3rd trial...

imagine, my own design! and i have to try it 3 times!...but the feel of satisfaction and pleasure when it's succeed, it's really-really great...because it's my original design and pattern that i'd been trying to make it real...So, don't be afraid to design something original by you...you may learn something from available pattern but don't forget to challenge your creativity...

When i designed and made this wallet here's my concept:" a very simple wallet, for a teenager...they may not have such a lot of money and they probably have some cards but not like a lot of credit cards...may be an atm from parents, library membership card, or just some cards...so, i want to make a very-very-very simple wallet..."...and here comes my wallet...see, it's very simple...may seem so common, but i don't know...i don't feel that way because i designed it with a concept, not like just designing a thing un-concepted...

So, try to concepting something before you design something...it helps you to make design and make pattern...

Anyway...after some projects (a lot actually...), i feel that using Erasable-Marker like erasable-marker spidol really-really HELPS!...it's made my sew neater, especially for project like this...

i bought my spidols in local store...but i also saw it available in www.sewtrue.com ...

Well, Happy Sewing, then...
