When i designed this wallet including measurement, I tried to make this kind of wallet super fit or i would call it super packed...for a teenager (i'm not a teen anyway...(^.^) ) that may be don't keep a lot of money or card in her wallet but enough money to buy lunch at mac donalds and use debit/atm card to get some money for buying some teen novels or hair accessories...well, after i made this wallet, i was surprise that it's too small for the card pockets...i thought, the fabric was shrinking after i iron it...but when i measured it...everything was correct...then what happen?...
well, i guess this is what happen...i used thick and stiff interfacing...this type of interfacing give the result neater, and maintain the form of the wallet...consequence is the project becomes thicker...
see the card?...it's overlapping...actually, if i divide it into 2, each is 6,5...enough for 5,5 cm card...but since the thickness issue arised here, so the cards are unable to go to the most corner...see? there is still 0,5 cm space on the left and right side of the pockets...
i remake this wallet with larger size and thinner and non-stiff interfacing...everything is ok...but with this type of interfacing, it's wrinkle...eventhough i didn't iron it hot, it's like wrinkle, along with the making proccess...i'll post the picture here...it's in the dryer, now...it's not as neat as this wallet simply because of the interfacing i used...but on the other side...it's not too thick...which one i choose for the same next wallet?...i choose thick and stiff interfacing and make the wallet slightly bigger than this one (^.^)...
but really, i like the size actually...it's very packed...not too biggy...
anyway, this is my first time using snaps button like this...i'm so happy i'm using this...it's a little bit difficult in attaching this because i'm just not used to do it...i hope as the time passing by, i'll manage this button more quickly...
i'm a little bit disappointed that i thought i could sell this wallet but i think now, after seeing the result...no, i won't sell it...but at the other side, i'm happy that i have a new sweet and cute wallet...it's very packed in my bag and when i hold this wallet, i feel like i'm holding it safely in my hand...because it's like grabbing...
i'll be making my third wallet tomorrow, before i upload it to my store...i hope my new measurement are correct...i think it can't be super-packed wallet anymore...
