I just remember when I was in elementary, the craft teacher taught this stamping: We cut the banana leaf and then peel off the 2 leaf parts. We won't use it for stamping, but we can use it to wrap food and put it in a steam (it will give great aroma to the food)... Let's called the "leaf stick" as the bone...(in our country, we called it "pelepah" ). Cut the bone 5-10 cm, depends on how comfortable you will be when holding the cut-bone... You will see that the base side of the the bone form an "U" like or "V" like and it has pores...Use it as your stamp motif/pattern...You may wash it a little bit because usually it has natural liquid but we didn't do that (^.^)... Now, use your watercolor paint...make the color as you like, and put the base side of the bone into the the paint...now, try to stamp it on a piece of paper...Now, can you see it? Try to make like butterfly or flowers or just "natural motif" from it... Happy Stamping! (I miss this crafting...) cherio, |
