| 1. Cute things 2. Animal: so many cute animals...can't find around you?...go to flickr!...I printed some of them...I want to make things inspired by them... 3. View: beach ( i love it), mountain (i don't like it...haha) 4. Feel of the view: what kind of feelings do we have when we are on the beach, on the mountain, market, etc...I feel gloomy in mountain...that's why, by instinct, I design my fashion so gloomy, not much ruffles, stiff, formal in looking...It's different when I live in Jogja. I like ruffles, chiffon...my designs are mostly fun and not stiff or formal in looking... 5.Colors: literally or what colors do you feel when you are in a place? I feel grey and brown when I'm in mountain...Also, sometimes, I just want to color this mountain into orange or red or pink or light green...that's why sometimes, although the silhouette of the designs is "gloomy", "straight", "stiff", but I color it bright, so bright or at one other point very gloomy like grey or brown. Check out your crayon's color, what inspiration you can get? what feeling? 6. Form: so many forms in the world: box, triangle, curvy, round/circle, trapesium, abstract, etc...Look around you...go to children playground...see the play there...feel the swing, see the swing...can you adapt it?... 7. Trees: cactus, flowers, pines, etc, etc...See the colors of theirs in every season. If you live in 4 season country, you are lucky...in winter, all you see can be branches (^.^)...now, what do you think at first time when you see that?...the color of the branches? the skinny branches? what feeling do you have? feel miserable? feel hopeful (imagine the tree is having full of hope that it can survive until next season and back in green again...)...feel so peace? feel...feel?????... if you live in 2 season country like me, it's all green and colorful all the time...you can feel happy, jumping, etc... With this feeling, you may be guided by instinct or nature to make something according to your feeling: fun, hopeful, miserable/sad, etc etc...the color, shape, style you choose may direct you without your own realize 8. Challenge: make something that is never made before by you...Always make tote bag? simple tote bag?...now, make another new tote bag, difficult one. Get inspiration from another design...not just copy...then try out yourself...Use new material...usually use cotton?, why not use silk for your new dress? or satin? or some unique traditional fabrics? 9. People: if you see a tennis player, what do you want to do with her/his style?...do you want to change? do you want to improve? orrrrr do you want to adapt it? Short skirt, short pants are great for summer...or may be winter too...add with thick stocking, use fun style of sport shoes... 10. Anime/manga: you can get a lot of incredible ideas from this...I like anime and manga so much...so much that i want to learn how to draw my own manga characters and use them for drawing fashion...using current doll draw, I can't get inspired myself to draw something cute, fantasy, and out of ordinary-common style... 11. Music: any music, classic, rock, etc...Rock style...it's always like that...do you want to change it?...if you want to change it how do you do that? what's in your head?...rock style usually leather+black...now, what's your rock style?...classic style...imagine the ballroom dance, long dresses...do you think it's boring?...why not trying your own classic style?...dancing in the ballroom dance with funky style...play piano with funky style... 12...can you add yourself? Of course you can!
