| I tried to sew cloth for doll. After "first" sewing, I didn't finish it though, I reviewed it and then retried it for "serious" project... I chose a fabric from my stash. There was a white fabric that I thought, ok, i'll use this. It's still enough to make 1 tiny cloth. I forgot, longggg agoooo, I used the same fabric for my own cloth (cardigan style)...I forgot that the fabric is raveling type (~.~)'...moreover it's slippery...ah, add those 2 difficulties to small size and zero-doll-fashion-sewing-experience..."perfect!" (^O^)'...I don't have fry-check, I didn't even know it before this!...so, I guess, I may not use "unique" fabric, yet for my first learning... Cotton and perhaps Linen are the best kind of fabric to start a "never-been-done-before" project like this...It's not the design that is difficult but rather the finishing the tricks to handle the edge so it won't ravel...I just purchased a fray check, though but in the meanwhile, I can't just sit and wait for it to come. I must re-try again... Perhaps I'll try linen...I'm suspicous that my linen is ravel, too but...mmm I don't know...I'll take a look...or if I'm lucky, I may find cotton in my stash...I rarely use cotton for clothing lately...mmmm.... cherio, |
