Sometimes, I forgot my own formula...so I cheated my own previous notes (^O^)'''...it was such an easy formula actually but lately, i'm having lack of concentration...so...well (>_>)'''...
I usually draft a master pattern like what you see and then I copied it and then make pants (simple formula, special just for doll) and simple bustier.
After all derived basic patterns are done, I then trace it using thin/light weight papers and then create the pattern.
After that, if the pattern is ok after tested, I put the pieces in a plastic and file it...
I make the pattern a bit following real human pattern. I thought of making it in an easy way but the result was always disappointing (TxT). In the end, there was no standard, and I keep repeating making the pattern. If I use formula, it'll be easier to adjust. I don't have to change a whole whole pattern each time I need adjustment. Bust bust bust. no matter how small it is, I always consider it unless, it's flat like luts and upper and lower bust don't show any much differences. But with MSD volks, I still make a small cup for her (^_^)'''. Since learning to make simple bustier, I'm a bit freak of fitting. Sometimes, I feel that, even for doll, when they are wearing the bustier dress, the dress may not fall off...
Some seamstress may like putting fabric on doll and then derived pattern (drappery). That's a good too buut, uuum...I don't like doing that on my doll though (-.-)'''...I feel like i'm going to make them dirty. I don't like it (though there's a sponge for cleaning but still...I don't like seeing my dolls dirty (TxT) ),,,
Sometimes, i want to share or sell one or two patterns of mine but really...i'm soooo soooo soooo lazy at editing, writing instruction. I'm chatty but not for how-to instruction (=.=)'''...
Anyway, my teacher taught me a secret trick to make a clothes and simple bustier...somehow, I found that the 'same' trick is found in a japanese doll book. The difference is: they adjust the pattern so yes, there's a cut while my teacher taught me to adjust the pattern without any cut.
Ho ho hoooo...no money waste at all for a simple bustier-sewing-course I took...haha...
About sewing instruction even my teacher said to me like this,"ok, you listen to me. You have to pay attention to what I said..." And there I go, the knowledge was passed on...(I feel like i was learning a kung fu or something)
