Bustier Project (But i would like to call it "Dress Project")

This is not the same dress i'm used to make...The dress will have no strings on the shoulders, or may be the more appropriate term for me: bustier dress...but i'm not planning to make such a bustier or corset dress, where a stiff string attach inside...a very complicated style...you know...but it's just a simple bustier dress...very simple and can be apply to simple designs...

After going through a hard week and half, finally...it wasn't the final result...but as an R&D project, it's just the best...I'm going to develop it more for the real project...

It's so hard to find a real references like patterns or books to make such a simple bustier dress...So, I searched and did some stuff to get a knowledge about this bustier dress...I don't even have a bustier dress...i have a corset from a uni friend's wedding, but, i can't use it as reference.

Anyway, there are 2 things i must conclude (based on my case of course...so it's personal opinion):
1. Use "clean" bust and upper bust measurement.
2. Use dart lines, like it or not...My body is a curvy type. Curvy, no matter it's big or small, curvy is curvy!...take it...i must take it...I thought i was going to make a "plain" dress with some pleats but has no dart line. no Lines...but couldn't do it because my figure is curvy type...so i want to make a plain dress, it will look odd on me and the body is not like "shaped" by the dress i wear...
my waist is quite small for my bust and hip...that's a problem...if i want to make a plain dress with no dart, imagine the wrinkles that will appear on the dress...and i want to make it bigger to adjust my hip and/or bust, it will be shapeless...it's just odd...I did it and at the stomach part, it looks big and my bust looks flat...even if i wear a wire-bra, still, flat...it won't happen if i use the same bra for my other blouse/clothes where i use dart lines...for this case, it's because i must make the waist slightly bigger to adjust the bust and the hip...so, the result is just odd...not from the front look, but from the side look...i thought, ahhh, that's not bad...but when i turn my body, aaaaa, that's odd...

This red simple-bustier-top is the 3rd trial....it has a shape. Eventhough it's not a final pattern, but i can use it as a reference...
