This is the procedure to make this bag... 1. See the design? First, you have to analyze the design first...then figure out which part to make first... 2. The first thing (s) I made for design like this is the strings. 3. Then I made the front pocket, complete with zipper and lining. Don't attach the pocket to the main body. I left 1 side of the zipper uncovered with lining. So, the lining and fabric only cover 1 side of the zipper 4. Attach/Sew the string to the pocket. Sew up to slightly below the zipper... 5. Attach the other string to the back of main body. 6. Attach the pocket to the front main body. Sew the uncovered zipper and then cover it with the same fabric of the front main body or else (up to you...make your own creation). 7. Make the pocket and front main body neatly aligned. 8. Attach/sew the long-side stripe/body to the front and back side. This stripe will "connect" the front and the back side of the bag... 9. Make the lining. The lining I use consist of :front, back, and stripe ONLY. Sew them all together but leave an unsewn part... 10. make 4 stripes for up-side zipper covers.DONT attach the zipper, yet 11. Put together (not sew, yet, please) the main fabric (main body) and lining. The good sides meet together. 12. Slip 2 stripes on the left and 2 stripes on the right (each: the ugly/wrong sides meet together). Please refer to the design. The stripes will be placed inside (slip) between the lining and the main body. Sew the upper side 13. Pull the main body out of the unsewn lining. 14. Attach the zipper...Well, at this point, I think you just know what to do... It's a little bit hard to make the string since it's only 3 cm and I use hard glue interfacing fabric inside... I use this trick: I only sew the 2 edges: 1 side I sew along the string-line and 1 other side only sew up to some cms after curvy part...so there will be 1 side that wide open...I'll close it with handsew...But if you have another way to do it, it's legal (^.^)... ==Please don't use my design or this procedure to make profit.
