just learning to use microsoft flash...
didn't know what to draw until i saw flower indonesian handcraft (flower is made from corn skin)...i then illustrate it...
i love indonesian handcraft b(^o^)...
also it's part of my grieve to hear that a big country of Europe made a patent of traditional Bali fabric motif...I wonder why international law allow other country/people make such a patent on something that belongs to another country's tribe traditionally...
even a Balinese that wanted to use the motif was blamed and said that he/she broke the law...
I don't think we Indonesian people here mind if that country produce the same motif as long as admit it that it came from our country...why did they make a patent on it?...
COPYRIGHT AND PATENT IS IMPORTANT BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS RESPECT AND HONOUR OTHER PEOPLE'S WORK..
I feel it's so stupid that people talk about copyright thing because respect is more than that!
I heard that sometimes Indonesia had a bad name in terms of copyright thing...piracy happens everywhere...but so far I know, none of those piracy producers ever admit other people work as our work...even the police catch the piracy criminals...so it's illegal of course and forbidden in our country...
(i just want to laugh this...but foreign people sometimes hang around the seller of pirated cd/dvds and shop some of course...I just ha, ha, ha...what the heck are you doing here?...I didn't know you like buying this stuff, too...)
so I wonder, which one is lower, just piracy or LEGALLY making copyright/patent on other people work?...the legal criminal can never be caught...

and there's no originality anymore now?...(^o^)...I don't believe in such a thing...originality comes from personality, culture, and unique thing...if a people, a country (and a person) is unique, then an originality of an art will arise...
Originality comes from inside of each of us...not from copyright or patent...
