Starting to realize the collection

I must say...I feel embarrass myself when writing the subject...sounds like I'm a great seamstress, eh?...haha...I'm not...I'm just a regular seamstress who's always proud of herself of her journey in sewing p(^.^)q. GANBATTE NICHAN!

I made the "Ruffle Princess" batch long time ago before I purchased Pyoo Nabi (Is it ruffle or frill? We call it frill here actually but well, the point is so...(^_<)). After trying to set up some basic patterns including pants and underwear (bra), I start to create some derivation from the the basic patterns. I haven't learn more about the bra finishing though but so far the fit is fine...so, I'll just go to another projects, a more 'application' type (^.^).

I admit, i bow to any doll clothes seamstresses! Sewing for doll is so so so tricky. I mean, it's really not like sewing for human cloth. Yes, if we learn sewing seriously, we'll get involved in body anatomy. It's the same with the doll BUT the 'skin' of doll is resin. Very slippery...and the doll is quite small, so although I used chiffon or something like that if the 'cuts' are small, short (blouse, blouse with frill), the result will be a little bit stiff...it won't happen in human clothing as human of course has bigger size and even the smallest cuts we do will be still able to handle the chiffon or kind of fabric...it won't be looked weird...

I tried to make the pink blouse with chiffon 3 TIMES. This one is the third. The first two were using chiffon which were weird and always fall off because the 'skin' is so slippery. The body can't handle the chiffon and the chiffon can't handle the 'shape' I cut on it. I changed it into Linen on the 3rd attemp and eeeehhh?????? BETTER! muuuuch better...also, i 'modified' the V neck finishing like what you see here; it was a common finishing we see in V-neck shirt in human clothes. I used it for this blouse...

Plain raglan also doesn't really suit her. Perhaps, on non-slim doll, the raglan will be looked better. The slim body of miss Pyoo Nabi looks a little bit 'drawn' on the arm part...but yet, I love it. Somehow, I like using raglan in a different style. I used it on my jacket and now on my little slim girl. I don't know...perhaps, I'm a little bit bored with regular raglan blouse with some elastic accross the neckline...Well, anyway, anyhow...it's a matter preference..I do what I like...anyway, it's a 'fashion' (^.<)...it's not a sin to be a little bit 'weird'...(^_^)

I'm pretty nervous each time I start to make something. So, I just didn't think a lot when making the pattern, just derived it from the basic. Apparently, in the pink blouse case, I derived it plainly...haha...so yes, it's a very-very-very fit blouse. Not tight or too small because I'm still able to button it up on the back; it's just fit. This blouse was supposed to be a little bit loose because it will be paired with a skirt...but, hey, it looks sexy, too, eh?...not bad...I'll just make another pattern for the more loose one

I just purchased some organdy ribbon/tape for next frill projects. Mmm, why didn't i think of it before? I made my own frill on the white blouse. I saw the using the tape on doll clothes in a webstore. I just thought, heeee???? We have a lot of that kind of tape here and I went to my supplies store and I got 'rainbow' or gradation ribbon/tape. It was like chiffon but not chiffon...organdy, the storehelper said...but the effect is quite the same as chiffon. Nah...this is what I said, trick trick and trick (^.<). I won't allow myself in human clothes but in doll clothes, it's ok.

I think the concept is a little bit different in doll clothes: as long as it's still looked neat, cute, awesome, it's ok...but in human cloth, nah, nah, time to apply a real sewing technique (^.<).

And my doll cloth sewing journey continues
