I've been sewing pants this past few weeks. They were ok...but I'm not satisfied myself...I was wonder if I tried again to sew the crotch part using a technique i usually use for human pants...It's a little bit troublesome when putting the waistband, yet, I see the result is better, though...
I also found a reference to confirm this...I see, that, yes...she got a little bit 'difficulty' sewing the waistband but I see the pants look on the body is great...so, perhaps, I should try again...
The technique is:
1. sew together the inside leg parts (F & B)
2. sew the crotch.
3. sew the side parts (F&B)
4. sew the waist band. Layered it with thin cotton. I don't use any interface as first: it's small, second, it's for jeans, third, i like to use non-sew snap button...so, I need the thinnest layers I can get here...adding interfacing will just make me too hard to attach the small snap button.
See, it's like human pants sewing, isn't it? yet perhaps, we don't do it in Jeans case with topstich we usually do on leg-crotch-leg...(^.<)...
Each people has their own preference, though...This is my preference that is to trade off the technique for a better result
