It was supposed to be a simple dress. Problem is: I've neve made such a SHEAT dress before. No pattern reference, no dress form, i don't even have one!. All i have is: MY BODY and basic pattern i have. It's very difficult adjusting on my own body...If i turned around my body to check out the back-side, the mistake i made couldn't be seen...i didn't know whether the wrinkle is a mistake or because body turn-around... It's just fiuh, fiuh, fiuh...i'm taking a break now...I'm researching about dress...Based on my difficult fitting of my own and on my own body (T.T) , I found it that it was best about the back side, that if the middle line/zipper fell below scapula-bone..... Okay, okay...I know, i'm stupid...you may have found about this...but really, i have noooo idea about this before... eh, i just remember, i have a corset...but can't make it as a reference, though...It's too complicated as a starting point...besides, i must find it myself, not just copy the pattern...It's good for my own learning and for creating my own pattern... At this time, i really-really need a dress form...I tought i could ALWAYS make a cloth without it...well, apparently, no...If it's a blouse or skirt, i can still handle it but when it comes to a dress, sheat dress, silk (blouse or whatever), chiffon (blouse or whatever, too), i NEED a dress from... Okay, I must make a note on my research...I found some great dresses on Betsy Johnson's website...Her dresses are complicated but the silhouette is clear and proportional...and that's what i need...I want to see whether some of my theories & conclusions are right or stupid (^o^)... cherio, |
