I just finished making a new bag, backpack exactly, for my store. This style is a new one and one of the cutest bag I've ever made. I used non-precut-zipper for this bag. It's so fun using this zipper. Putting in the zipper head was a little bit problem, but still it was fun and so great to see the result. I can use any zipper head for the zipper and for this cute bag, I used a fat-plastic zipper head. It just boosts the cuteness of the style rather than if I use metal zipper head... Also, I, now, like to use extension ring that is used for extending and holding string. I just shopped a lot of it on my last vacation and I'm so excited to use it!... Before I decide that this motif cotton will be paired with small red gingham, I made a lot of photos of motif cotton-matching fabrics combination. Then, by looking at the design, I look which combination that the suit most for the design...It's really helpful when you have a lot of fabric option. For me, this design does not always work for any fabrics I have...I can't just pick any fabric, without deep thinking, from my storage...can't do that...never!...it will ruin the result... Backpack is always seemed "difficult" , "high level", "unreachable" for me to make one...But after making some style that I love, now, I'm a little bit addicted (^o^)...Because, I can make any kind of backpack I have in mind (^v^). It's soooo challenging! Making a backpack is indeed not for beginner since precision is very important but it's a must if you love challenge. You don't have to make a WOWWWWW or SUPER difficult backpack...Just make something that is fun... The basic idea of backpack is as it's name : back-pack...so you can make any kind of body back and add 2 strings on the back of the bag body...There are some details or may be some nature of body bag design/type that we must know more, but the point is, we can always make a cute backpack, our own design, our own style b(^.^)...it's not that hard if we want to try and learn!... ******* The backpack will be in my store soon.
